If you *think* something happened but can't actually prove it... sorry. It hasn't been proven and you can't say otherwise.


In a previous life, I was in the position to prosecute shoplifters. My record was perfect - 100% success rate. Why? I never stopped anyone I wasn't sure I had certain proof of pilferage.


I'd also like to add... I love the fact the judge is pointing out how ridiculous the entire situation is. The NFL should be embarrassed by the amount of wasted time, money, and effort on what truly is just one big Goodell ego trip.

You yourself said its ridiculous so I don't think "just" doesn't really matter. He doesn't get paid to play a game for four weeks. This isn't a case of someone going to prison, being on probation, etc.


As far as a power trip, I can agree to that in the sense that there is plenty of room for reasonable doubt. But again, they signed it. When you give someone that much authority, there's bound to be issues. But as unfair as it is, they can't keep running to the courts every time they dislike a decision by Goodell, regardless of what it is. It seems they've been doing that with every decision lately (see Adrian Peterson and ray rice). I'd be irked if I were the judge as well. They signed a CBA for a reason; go with it
