Rewatched Joeckel and Beadles in the 1st Quarter.  Overall, Joeckel is a weakness as we all know and no doubt a bottom of the NFL LT and maybe not even starter quality.  I notied that as the quarter progressed, Olsen started beefing up the left side of the line with TEs or bringing a WR in close.  I'm sure he's going to have to do this all year to help out Joeckel.

Beadles was better overall than my first impression when I watched the game earlier.  Beadles isn't great by any means but he certainly wasn't bad.  He held his own for the most part.  Most of his play was sufficient.  He didn't overpower anyone but he wasn't a glaring weakness either.

Teams are going to key in on Joeckel and we are going to have to committ a TE or RB more than likely on every play to help him unless the play is designed to go away from the rush on the left side.

Joeckel results of plays from 1st Quarter

1- Whiff

2- No one to block

3- He was pushed back but got help from LG (quick pass)

4- No real rush (draw up the middle)

5- Reached and dove at rusher, kept him out of the play (run left)

6- Chipped at DE (run right)

7- Held block OK at line (run right)

8- Held his own

9- Whiff, strip/fumble/sack

10- No one rushed against him

11- Good combo run block

12- Good hustle on WR screen but whiffed on block

13- Got to LB and held block OK

14- Held own (PA pass)

15- Held block well (run up middle)

16- Beat on the rush but it didn't affect the play

I did the same review with Beadles but his were all average or slightly above average.
