Who do you think will be the "surprise" cut of the preseason?
|
Quote:DEFINITELY NOT GERHERT. Remember, it's surprise cut, not obvious cut. I pick Gerhart due to the money he's set to receive. If Pierce can impress, he's a younger, faster version of Gerhart that costs significantly less (2 mil a year). Your left with Yeldon, Robinson, Pierce, and Grant. Pierce Age / DOB: (24) / 5/10/1991 Ht / Wt: 6'0' / 230 Gerhart Age / DOB: (28) / 3/28/1987 Ht / Wt: 6'0' / 231 If you check out the preseason stats, they are virtually identical in yards, ypc, and receptions. As long as they think Bernard has turned a corner with his off the field issues, he's a cheaper alternative. That said, the Jags aren't having any cap issues, so there's no real reason to cut ties with Gerhart just for financial reasons. They'll keep the backs that are best for the franchise, regardless of pay. |
