Scouts wanted Dallas to draft him as a steady power runningback like Marshall Lynch

Yeldon had 576 carries for 3,322 yards (5.8 average) and 37 scores with 46 receptions at Alabama. Of course, he was platooned, which concerns one scout: "He was not their best back (in 2014). Derrick Henry, the sophomore, was. He's not as good as Lacy, but he's better than (Mark) Ingram. Yeldon is really strong and has excellent balance, and he has really good hands. But they always catch him

ESPN says he wasnt even the best running back on his team in college, and fumbles way too much.  They wonder how any RB can be successful behind the Jaguars poor offensive line.

The Jaguars are going to divide carries among the backs," DiRocco said, "and slowly increase Yeldon's workload throughout the season." Yeldon missed the Jaguars' opening preseason game with a sprained finger, and DiRocco said Toby Gerhart and Denard Robinson have seen more first-team reps than Yeldon early in training camp. The injury is not considered serious, however, and all reports out of camp have been glowing for the rookie back. Yeldon should establish himself as the lead back sooner rather than later

Fantasy Football has Yeldon as number 11 to draft due to the obivious role he'll have on the Jaguars with 12 group personnel and Greg Olson's commitment to run the ball this year.
