Ill be honest, I think the dead arm excuse was actually not an excuse but rather the main reason Bortles struggled. As such, I think we will see a bigger jump than we think.

 

2014 preseason vs. 2014 season difference in mechanics, poise, etc. was just absolutely Night and day. So far, Ive seen everything I saw in the 2014 preseason from bortles but more refined. I too scoffed at the thought of bortles having a "dead/fatigued arm" but all evidence points to it being quite true. His balls loafed hard at the end of the season. Not so much in 2014 preseason and def. not now.

 

On a side note: Good QBs do pretty decently even with absolute trash on the O-line. Obviously no championship possible but Good QBs simply rise above it to squeek out a few victories. Big Ben, Peyton Manning, and Tom brady have all demonstrated this.
