Quote:A metro area of nearly 20 million people and the home of the rams for decades gets a 1 time chance to see the old team practice....

Draws 5k rams fans. 7k including "America's team" fans.

A lot of hype for a very unimpressive figure.
If you want to spend your life being a "glass is half empty" kind of guy, go right ahead.

Quote:Teal Curtain,  were you at Tuesday's practice as well?    The have been reports that a major fight broke out between the two teams.   If you were at practice,  I'm certainly interested in your perspective of what happened that caused the fight and any related thoughts.

Did any player ( s ) stand out positively or negatively for either team.

There's no question that Los Angeles deserves another NFL team.   Like I previously expressed,   I hope somehow that it will be an expansion team unless San Diego or Oakland decide not to make a serious offer for a new stadium to prevent the Chargers and/ or Raiders from moving.

I'm totally against the Rams leaving St. Louis for at least two reasons that can be combined:

1.   St. Louis is stepping up to the plate to build a new NFL stadium.   Dave Peacock and the St. Louis Stadium Task Force as a whole have done a terrific job.

2.   The Rams have not even had a .500 season since 2006.   Expecting support for the team to be at a high level when the product has been subpar is not realistic.   It sets a bad precedent when a team has been below average or worse for a long time and the city is committed to keeping the team.

Also,  I'm very turned off by the way Stan Kroenke has ignored the fans of St. Louis.
Unfortunately, I was not at Tuesdays practice. But I can tell you that there was a lot of jawing back and forth on Monday.

The Rams seemed to be very pumped up with the fan turn out. In fact TJ McDonald as well as Trumaine Johnson were pretty [BAD WORD REMOVED] Dez Bryant wasn't practicing on Monday. They actually told a group of us fans this. They sounded like they thought he was being soft.

I was on the Rams side of the fields most of the day, and reports swirled that even though Dez wasn't practicing, he was doing a lot of instigating form the side line. There was 1 minor scuffle during the day.

Stand outs:

-Tavon Austin is VERY VERY fast. Unstoppable in one on one drills. Caught a 50 yard bomb from Foles in 11 on 11 as well. Scandrick didn't practice. I am thinking Austin is primed for a big year.

-There is no way Case Keenum is 6'1". I swear hes like 5'10".

-The Cowboys were trying a pass rush grouping of Lawrence, Mincey, Hardy, Gregory. That could be pretty nasty.

-Gurley is a very big dude.

If I had to pick 1 team to move, I would pick the Rams. They were  in LA about 50 years before they moved to St Louis.

Jerome Bettis, Eric Dickerson, Kevin Greene, and the Fearsome Foursome are all a great part of NFL history.

I can see the Raiders moving back. That would be great news to all the LA gangbangers lol.

Nobody wants the Chargers lol.

Quote:Where do you live out there?  We just did a 16 day vacation to SF-LA-SD (checking out Cal Berkeley, CalTech, UCLA, UCSB -- my son is a Sr in HS).   I was loving the non-humidity factor !!!
I'm in Pasadena, CA.  Literally 8-9 blocks from CALTECH.  Your son must be pretty intelligent by having those schools as options. What is he thinking about majoring in?
