I'm not sure who said it was 20lbs in two months, but they were likely wrong or perhaps using his weight from the last season's training camp and assuming it stayed stagnant throughout all of last season. Either way, I'd argue that he wasn't in "great" shape last season simply because he was playing 20-25lbs lighter because of his broken leg.
