Trent Richardson wasn't great for Indy and Luck.  Alexander Wright wasn't great for Dallas.

 

While it is certainly questionable that Lee will ever be great, when healthy, Lee has the speed the rest of the offense lacks.  He should have the ability to stretch the field when healthy.  Undoubtedly that was part of the rationale behind selecting Lee in the first place.

 

Without him, it will be harder for a developing Bortles to exploit opposing secondaries.

 

I was referring to your comment about the absence of Lee and Thomas.  I agree that the absence of Thomas is going to be a hit (in my mind a minor hit) going forward with Blake's development, but I don't see the absence of Lee in the same way.

 

Don't get me wrong, I am really wanting Lee to develop into a star in this league, but I see too many people put him up the depth chart as being an "important" aspect of this offense.  I refuse to think that until he can remain healthy, stay on the field for multiple games and actually perform.
