I'm not sure if I would take a trade of that nature, even if it included the swap of first round picks.

 

Right now, I see two QBs that may carry top 5 grades by next May-Bridgewater and Huntley (UCLA QB).

 

I would expect both of them will be gone by pick 5 or so, as would Clowney.

 

While the desperation to see credible QB play immediately for the Jaguars would tempt me greatly to pull the trigger in an offer like that, I don't know if I'd want to face the same situation 5 years down the road, especially if I were sold on Bridgewater or Huntley.

 

Is this team a QB away next year? Would the additional pick(s) add other important pieces to the roster? How does the QB class look in 2014?

 

I think an Eli Manning along with additional picks would be something great for the long term health of the roster especially if you add an additional 1 or 2 (ex drop from 1.1 to 1.5 but add 2.5 to go along with 2.1). Getting Bridgewater or any other QB next year will not help if he's getting the Garrard treatment behind a bad line, but adding an extra Cyprian or Brian Wagner? Sign me up.
