Look at the facts of the matter.

 

He was drafted in 2013 and got some time at RT.  After the start of the season the Jaguars trade Eugene Monroe and move Joeckel to LT.  The very next game he suffers a season-ending injury.  You might as well throw that season out as far as a "veteran season".

 

He comes back last season, and struggled some with the rest of the O-line and really starts to learn about the LT position in the NFL.

 

No matter how you want to spin it, he is starting his SECOND SEASON as a LT in the NFL.  He'll get better.
