Jaguars to St. Louis or San Diego (merged)
|
Quote:Now its all about getting attention, clicks, and followers. This one is only because Kahn had originally tried to buy St Louis team before Wayne approached him about Jaguars. Kahn is not going to sell the team unless local fans do not buy tickets after team starts winning regularly. Even then I think he would give it at least 10 years past the time when Jags start winning. Even Johnny O has alluded to this a few times when people asked questions about moving rumors. Ticket sales and pricing will go up when we start winning. IMO Jags are not going anywhere because when we start winning regularly ticket sales will go up just like before when Jags were winning. IMO for the same reason the London game is not going away because it brings in 15% revenue and each of the other games only bring in 9.4%. If Everbank revenue per game goes up then London game will go away. The NFL is a business and Khan is a very good "bidness man"I respectfully disagree with this in one sense: the fans are no longer on trial. After these last three dismal seasons, no one should ever again question this area's passion for its team. The offense has struggled, the defense has struggled, but the fan support has been outstanding, averaging 60k for a 67,000 seat stadium. No other team in NFL history has started out 0-7 for THREE YEARS IN A ROW, and yet this team still sells tickets. Watching the Jags over the last three years has been like watching a baby seal get clubbed--painful. Still ticket sales rise. Anybody can support a winning team. Put the Colts in Omaha or Des Moines and they'll sell out. Jacksonville has moved beyond that. Miami wouldn't offer the same kind of support under similar circumstances, and neither would Tampa Bay. So all you folks who attended games, thank you. Give yourself a big round of applause. |
