I think an Eli Manning along with additional picks would be something great for the long term health of the roster especially if you add an additional 1 or 2 (ex drop from 1.1 to 1.5 but add 2.5 to go along with 2.1). Getting Bridgewater or any other QB next year will not help if he's getting the Garrard treatment behind a bad line, but adding an extra Cyprian or Brian Wagner? Sign me up.

You're saying that we should not draft Teddy if we get #1 but instead, trade that pick and get another safety or LB? This entire league always has been and always will be about the QB. There's a reason we havent been consistently good since Brunell left and its because we have had subpar QB play here. The one year we did have decent QB play was the year we made the playoffs and beat the Steelers.

 

Chargers traded Eli away and then look what happened.. Eli went on to win 2 super bowls while the Chargers are stuck with Rivers who could never produce in the playoffs.

 

If Teddy is there and he is as good as everyone says he is, we take him with no questions asked.
