To tell you the truth, I think our defensive players would have the edge over Robinson. If Allen Robinson did a jump ball with Gronk in a bball game, than yes, I think he'd have the edge.


If Robinson guarded Gronk on an inside slant, he'd score every time.

 

How is nobody being able to shutdown Gronk relevant?  I'm talking about one particular scenario in one particular play.  If you can have any kind of success in shutting down the Gronk fades in the red zone, then you've taken a huge chunk out of the Patriots red zone offense.

 

Like I've already stated several times pretty clearly - I am not advocating in any way, shape, or form for Robinson to be covering Gronk.  There is zero reason for Arob to cover him on any routes to the middle of the field.  To be very clear, Robinson only comes in the game in jump ball scenarios and plays a zone on Gronk's sideline.  That is not crazy talk.  It's not some rare albino tiger occurrence.  It happens in football.
