Not it's actually designed to stop teams like the Patriots. The problem is players playing out of position and playing fundamental football. It the jags 4-3 over/under scheme, it is essential the LB and DBs communicate and our in proper position. Here are two examples. The first is proper position for the safety and LB in over position. Look at Cyp. I know...he is actually in position. The second is an example of out of position. Notice the back up safety too far out of position and Poz trying to cover that ground himself. This has been a problem for some time and exactly why we get burned in the middle. The CB's should play press forcing everything inside while the safety and outside LBs trail with MLB in middle zone. Think of it like a funnel, forcing everything into a little tube in the middle where the D can swarm. It is seceptable ti big plays on the outside if your press technique is lacking, but should never get as exposed as it has in the middle. This is a DB and LB deficiency.
