He only averages 26 attempts per game and around 2.2k total passing yards through 10 games. Compare that to some of the top QBs in the nation such as Murray, Shaw, Manziel, Winston, Mariota and Bridgewater, and his numbers seem very pedestrian. I'm not saying he should have big numbers as I think numbers are overrated in the pro, but in college, numbers indicate a lot of production.

FSU is probably the closest to Alabama in term of potential NFL talents than any other team in the nation right now, and one would think Winston only need to manage the game, but he's not. He's completely dominating college football right now. The same can be said about Manziel, Mariota and Bridgewater.

Truth of the matter is that McCarron isn't asked to do a lot.
