There was a game where the Jaguars faced a winless Bengals team and loss. Going into the game the Bengals were something like 0-6, and the Jaguars were epected to win, but I tell you what, I've never seen a team play with more heart and effort than that Bengals squad on that day. I forget what prompted JDR's rage, but he blew up Mike Peterson and totally lost his composure. The locker room was a mess after that game and they basically just went through the motions the rest of the season. The team lost its fire, and the Jaguars 'till this day have only won a slight fraction of their games since.


 

If you have the time, look back until you find this game where the Jaguars faced a winless Bengals team. Then look at JDR's record up until that game... and compare it to JDR's, and the team's overall, record since. It's almost mind boggling the difference. Until that game the Jaguars were "the house that Jack built"... after that game it was "Jack fell down a hill."
