Quote: Jake Matthews is exhibit A in how quickly things can change in the NFL.   Last season,  most considered Matthews' rookie season disappointing to say the least.    All it took was 3 games to change the minds of many,  if not most.   

 

Unfortunately, this is not something us as jags fans had a chance to experience but its called player development and progression. Matthews had growing pains but is now playing to his potential. 

 

Joke keeps sputtering, Bortles continues to disappoint, Fowler I'll give a pass to but hes got some large shoes to fill the way Beasley, Dupree, and Armstead have performed thus far. 

 

It just seems like a really underwhelming crop yet again. Time will tell.
