Fear The Walking Dead Season One (caution: spoilers)

Quote:There's no one who knows how people would truly react in a situation like this. I am curious how you think they really fumbled it.

I have already stated examples previously in this thread. It doesn't matter that they never explain why zombies started popping up, it would not have been so overlooked by society if there were incidents reported across multiple states. If anyone sees and films a zombie then uploads it to the internet (as Tobias says), real or just a hoax that looks real, it would go viral within two days. That is reality. (Did you see the blue and black dress?). Retweet: OMG! Overlooking the way most people communicate on a daily basis is a massive oversight. Once people did realize it there would have been round the clock news coverage and paranoia. I really expected to see people glued to their tvs and radios and for anarchy to quickly take root as people scrambled to find weapons and supplies to survive as they tried to run to a safe haven. The riot scenes were kind of silly to be honest. A War of the Worlds style radio broadcast could have had more impact in a three minute scene than they have shown all season. They could have mirrored what would actually happen by having people get a bunch of unconfirmed info from social media and then viewers could experience the fear of isolation and uncertainty when the internet drops. Then they could have shown more first hand experience of the selfishness of man as people try to steal from others to save their own hide and try to get out of town. Then they could have increased the level of character fear as people realize there is no safe haven. The civilians in FTWD almost accidentally fall into a protected zone and act more inconvenienced than scared. That's because the writers created characters who are unrealistically self absorbed and oblivious who don't act or react like people actually would.
Only a chump boos the home team!
