The key is getting the NFLPA to agree to this. Many players are against the NFL regular season schedule increasing to 17 games. Enough of a financial carrot will have to be put on the table to get the NFLPA to sign off on this. Higher salaries and more jobs ( roster spots ) would almost certainly have to be offered to the NFLPA as part of a potential agreement.

Agreed, D6. It would take that, at a minimum, to get the NFLPA to add game in my opinion.


I think the length of the preseason might be looked at too.


I wish they would look at adding more contact practice time, as it used to be, and shorten the preseason.


I can't help but think the seemingly higher number of injuries might be a reflection of reduced practice and contact in practice.
