I think the length of the preseason might be looked at too.


I wish they would look at adding more contact practice time, as it used to be, and shorten the preseason.


I can't help but think the seemingly higher number of injuries might be a reflection of reduced practice and contact in practice.

 

 Scarecrow,  adding to what you said,   I believe that the reduced practice time is also contributing to the problems many teams are having on their Offensive Lines.  That's putting more and more QBs at risk for injury. 

 

  If the NFL continues to lose starting QBs to injury,   that might lead to both the NFL and NFLPA increasing practice time in the off-season and having less restrictions in training camp.
