Losing to a struggling Colts team without their best player is not showing anyone that this team is "built". Maybe Gus should keep statements like that to himself unless he's willing to back it up with results on the field.

You post an article that outlines the comments quite well.  Show me where either Dave or Gus said the team was going to compete for the division.  I've read it twice.  It's built means the team should be more competitive, and that this should ultimately turn into more wins.  Nothing about competing for the division this year, but read into it what you must. 

 

Barely losing to a bad colts team in week 4 with 3 key starters being injured during the game, another player expected to be a key contributor on the IR, and two other critical components, one on each line, missing the game.  They were missing Luck.  We were missing a lot more than one guy. It was a game between two bad teams.  I honestly don't think the outcome would have been dramatically different if Luck was in the game to be honest.  It's not like the colts have been lighting it up this year with him on the field. 

 

I think you're putting way too much focus on "it's built" and not really recognizing what they meant.  The article lays it out for you better than I ever could, but for some reason, you still ignore their point.
