He's more than a decoy. Sadly, I think that's how the Jags gameplanned for him this game.

 

A few quick examples

 

1) Blake's INT was to Mercedes

 

2) On 2nd and 8 from bucs 30 Blake threw incomplete to Mercedes when JT was wide open for 6

 

3)The miss on 2nd and 8 from the 13 (in the redzone) Julius Thomas is on sidelines not being used

 

4) 3rd and 8 from the 13 (JT back in the game), and Bortles throws and incomplete pass to Mercedes

 

Jags got a field goal that drive, but we could have had more if we weren't just using JT as a decoy.
