UF is now the third best college team in Florida

Quote:I used to work with an Alabama fan when I lived in Jacksonville. Three years ago, I asked who he was rooting for between Oregon and Auburn when they were playing for the national title. He said Auburn because he wants "to keep it in the SEC." I was shocked, and told him no true Alabama fan would ever root for Auburn.I disagree 100%. When you have the toughest conference in the country you want to keep it there. When your team has a good year you are able to look back and show the competition you have beaten and pad your resume. Top to bottom if the ACC was as deep as the SEC, you would want to keep it there. If the roles were reversed, FSU would feel the same way as SEC fans do. I dont have a dog in the fight either....I root for all Florida teams to do well. I just think its funny when any in state school tries to look down on other schools when if the roles were reversed the others would all follow suit and do the same thing. |
