Both men seem a little lost on the job. Dave getting Gerhart was a big red flag people ignored. Beadles another red flag. Then he says he is going to be active in FA yet when someone really good comes along everyone knows we don't have a chance in hades of getting a true FA stud. We get backups and role players. When we draft we get backups that we use as starters. Nobody really progresses once hired. We keep some players like Marcedes that should have been gone last year.

 

We have our QB, he should have spent the summer learning how to not overthrow his receivers, because anything with an arc on the ball going deep and it's going to be 3 yards too far. That's on the QB coach and head coach as well.

Look it's simple, Gus was hired for his high energy and resume of being with a winner. That won over an owner not used to hiring coaches. He baffled them with bull puckey after drinking a case of red bull.

The GM was hired because he can slick back his hair, put on a suit and look like a yuppie Billy Donavan and like Gus talks a good game. He probably has amazing spreadsheets and power point presentations showing his player evaluations. He looks the part, however the players he gets show the true mind of the man. Gerhart was all you need to say to know BAD GM HIRE. That wasn't just a fluke bad player, such as a star getting hurt,  nobody was going to run an offense around Toby. Except Dave that is.

 

Both men's results speak for themselves, it's not working, I would fire both GM and coach and chalk it up to Khan's inexperience in hiring football employees. Khan needs to find a true mastermind of putting together an organization, this may be someone retired like a vermiel or parcell type, as a consultant role, but he needs to realize his own judgement is not strong in this area, and hire a man who can properly analyze all new front office hires.
