But like I said, to me, if you keep DC, then you better KNOW he's the guy. That if you bring in a new coach, that you know he'll pick the right candidate this time. That one-two years down the road, if you're Shad, you're not staring at another possible rebuild wondering "is it the HC or is it the GM?"

 

Keep DC, ok. But you better be sure of it. Right now, I don't think he's in the "I'm sure of him" threshold

 

 

Fair point.  I just personally like how Caldwell does things and think he is still growing as a GM.  He has made mistakes and refreshingly admitted to them.  At the same time that doesn't mean we should keep him because he is honest.  He hired Gus so if Gus goes then that is on him.  I think we keep Caldwell even if Gus goes, but if we don't then all we can do is hope we make the right decision the next time.
