A third factor possibly in play is that Caldwell might not believe that anyone currently on the coaching staff would do any better with the team than Bradley, and he's content to let Bradley play out the string and either figure it out or get a pink slip for Christmas.


Still, though, if ever there was a situation in which an early-season head coaching change was warranted, this is it. The team has young talent, and Caldwell has done a good job with the rebuild. New England aside, the losses have more to do with mental breakdowns and poor coaching decisions than they do talent level. That setup almost screams for the reins to be handed to someone else to see if he can do any better with the talent afforded him. Marrone would still be the Bills coach if he hadn't taken the money and ran, and I think losing sight of that in defense of sticking with Bradley is a big mistake.1
1. Is 37 games not enough time to turn things around? Is it not enough time to beat a backup, 40 year old QB lead Colts for the lead in the division? Is it not enough time to beat the 2nd worst team in the league led by a mistake prone rookie QB?


2. It already is a hapless team. What, do you think if we fired Gus that we'd goto London with a sup par coach? Newsflash, we will regardless. I'm glad Shad Khan would be more worried about building a brand in London instead of...ya know... the place where the team is actually located.


Alot of people said 6 wins this year would be a reasonable expectation. Do people realize that 6-10 is not even a WINNING SEASON? Do you see 5 more wins in our future? I sure as hell dont.


Its a joke that people (not you specifically) are making excuses for a 3rd year coach that cant even come close to a WINNING SEASON.
