Every week we hear of players sitting out because they have a sore hamstring, or whatever, but here comes Blake after sustaining a shoulder injury saying, "I'm going to practice until they tell me I can't." Gus was saying he expected Blake to sit out Wednesday to rest his sore arm. He's like, "sorry coach, but if I can go, I'm going," Damn straight this is the attitude our players need to have, and it's about time somebody steps up and sets and example. He's leading by example here. Get off your lazy [BAD WORD REMOVED] and get out there already you crybabies sitting out every week. If only Poz would have done as much last week, the Jaguars win that game. Hopefully the players wake up and realize what it's going to take to get the job done.

 

All of this. I couldn't agree more.

 

TBH, I was still skeptical even after hearing about all the work BB5 put in during the offseason because of my Gabbert PTSD. But BB5 proved me (happily) wrong. Then after the last game, I was worried BB5 would be giving up on this team and/or this coaching staff because even after he and the offense put up 31 points, they still lose. And then he busts out with a quote like this.

 

Bortles has proven that he has the leadership and ability to be a franchise-level QB. I'll admit he still has to do it consistently to earn the label, but everything he has done since he was drafted supports the belief that he will. I hope the rest of the team can quickly get their [BAD WORD REMOVED] together and follow suit.
