Some people say that statistics don't lie.  I say that you can make statistics say whatever you want and this is a good example of that.

 

Here's the thing, every offense would prefer to have 2 WRs that are legit threats, it opens up the underneath stuff and get's the middle of the field soft.

 

Looking at NE is an anamoly.  Brady is the greatest check down passer the world has ever seen.  

 

SD doesn't make your case, Rivers prefers going to WRs.  He even made Eddie Royal look legit for a season.  Yes, Rivers used Gates alot, but I'd consider gates more of a beast slot WR than a TE...  But I guess we can pick nits on that one.  The bottom line is that Rivers hasn't been the same since he's lost that one legit dude that went to Tampa bay...  I think he was a WR...  

 

 

Either way, we have a great WR squad.  I was saying this a few weeks ago when people were lamenting the fact we didn't bring a vet WR...  Why?  Why bring a vet in when you have talent in abundance right here.  Caldwell did another great job keeping things stable in this situation.

 

Walters flashed so brilliantly in the preseason, I'm glad he's gotten his chance.  I think he's better than Greene, in all honesty.  The dude doesn't drop balls.  Greene is all thumbs...
