Do you realize how fine the line is between "legal" and "illegal" hits? On top of that, do you realize how many "illegal hits" are unintentional and happen because a WR turns his head at the last second?

 

Let me get this right...... if a DB mistimes a play and the WR turns his head at the last second, leading to helmet to helmet contact, and then that WR ends up paralyzed, the DB should be forced to retired?

 

Would an illegal hit that gives Cecil Shorts a concussion be more punishable (because he would miss more games) than an illegal hit that gives Blackmon a concussion?

 

One of the dumbest proposals I've heard, and this is coming from the guy that wants to see take some snaps.
