People do realize Gene Smith spent a small fortune on players that were COMPLETE busts (Laurent Robinson anyone??) We've got a huge amount of cap space tied up in players no longer on the roster, and the SAME thing will happen next year when Poz, Lewis, Mincey, etc. get cut? The good thing is that even with all that wasted cap space, we should still be able to START fixing some holes via free agency, in addition to drafting 1st overall.
