Same goes for QB. Bortles might be great someday, but his 83 QB rating so far this year puts him in the mid-tier range. Wide receivers aren't elite, but are certainly are strong points. Corners suck. Tight end is solid when healthy, but that's a huge asterisk. QB rating has been exposed over the years and rewards game managers like Russell Wilson/Mark Brunell/Teddy Bridgewater over gunslingers like Brett Farve, Dan Marino, and Peyton Manning. Honestly, putting points on the board is what it's all about and we have a QB now that may be able to throw 30-40 TDs a season. You put the pieces around him defensively and coaching and Jags are a Super Bowl contender. Not many QBs can throw 30-40 TDs per season. |
