If the Jaguars looked to be a player or two away from 9-7, sure. If Young were a couple years younger, sure. But we're not a couple players away from 9-7. We're a couple of good players away from 4-12.

What does acquiring Young do, other than costing us a shot at another Demetrius McCray? Maybe win us a game with a key sack before being released in the offseason? If we're destined to be terrible, I'd rather not spend draft picks on aging veterans who have hit the downslope of their career. If Young were a few years younger and still looked to have a bright future ahead of him, by all means spend the pick...but if he were a young player thought to have loads of potential, his name wouldn't be connected to a sixth-round pick...
