I don't know.  I just refuse to believe that a 33 year old kicker just instantly became bad.  I've never seen anything bad from him in a Jaguars uniform to indicate otherwise. 

 

He had 3 straight seasons were he missed 3 kicks or less in a season.  Last season he missed 3, and 3 more were blocked and nobody is willing to give him any benefit of the doubt?  People want to say all the blocks were his fault?  He essentially missed 3 field goals last year (kicking much longer/harder field goals than the average) and none in 4 preseason games or a scrimmage and now he's done?

 

The Steelers obviously watched his tape from last season and felt he was worth a 6th round pick (very high for a kicker).  Are the Steelers blind or did Scobee obviously not tank as bad many are exaggerating?

 

Could it be possible (maybe, just maybe) that the Jaguars were duped into believing in a career loser kicker because of a 6 week hot streak which basically made him dead even in competition with an older, much more expensive kicker?
