Scobee not one of kickers being worked out
|
Quote:LOL. I read more than one article about it when it happened and Bradley even discussed it in a presser. And yes, I did see a slow motion breakdown of it. Can't remember who produced it, but I think it was in Lageman's film segment as well. I'm not making this junk up, man. Sorry you don't believe me. I'm not buying that its as big of a problem as everyone has been making it out to be. But lets say it is. Is that something that Scobee can't correct? Foot placement? So if it's not a physical problem, then its a sudden technical one that isn't correctable to the season before? I'm not buying that a career top 10 kicker is suddenly done at the age of 33. What I am buying is that a younger, cheaper kicker had a hot streak in camp and Scobee suffered a quadriceps injury and was traded away. Scobee struggled in a difficult stadium to kick while playing through a quad injury in a quad that he has already torn before and missed half a season. Now that he's been released, 3 teams have reached out to him, but he wants to heal his leg first before he does any further damage to his career. That is what I am buying. Now it remains to be seen if the Jaguars would actually bring him back if healthy or they would refuse to admit the mistake. I guess we'll never know... But I think Scobee would be more than willing to come back if given the opportunity. |
