Exactly, and the list goes on. Greg Jones has two ACLs as I recall and came back just fine twice. Now Jamaal Charles looks to do the same as he's already come back from an ACL back in 2011. Kevin Hardy came back as well, albeit with a new team.


 

Some other players who have successfully returned from an ACL include Rob Gronkowski, Jeremy Maclin, Reggie Wayne, Travis Benjamin, Heath Miller, Joe Thomas, Maurkice Pouncey, Thomas Davis, Chris Harris and Tyrann Mathieu. There are several more, but these are the more recent bigger names at the more athletic positions. What I find interesting is that many of these names went down anywhere from mid-season all the way up until the post season and still managed to start week one the following year. Gronk and Harris for instance went down in January, and were good to go week one at the start of September roughly 8 months later. Most, however, went down early during the season and were ready for camp the next year, roughly 10 months later.


 

Fowler went down in early May, and won't need to be full go until camp starts in August roughly 15 months later. I actually posted a thread during training camp questioning if we should put Fowler on the PUP as he should realistically be good to go by the start of December since he's so young, but they'd rather give him several months more just to be on the ultra safe side.
