The real question is, even if they're the same guy, why would you trade the younger one for the banged up older one?


Bortles arrow is pointing up. Lucks arrow is stagnant.

 

How can you say that after only a few bad games from Luck, and only a few good games from Bortles? Why think that a sample size that represents less than 10% of his career is most indicative of a 26 years career trajectory? There is precedent for players improving all that way into their late 30s. None of my earlier questions have been answered, and until they are I don't know how anyone can continue to justify their position in an objective way. How do you guys think non jags fans would answer this question?
