The reason the last half dozen NFL teams built completely new stadiums is to increase revenue profits, ie Cowboys, Giants/Jets, Clots, etc. They played the game of keeping the old stadiums up to date and it came a point to where it just simply wasn't enough anymore.

 

Teams are going away from the motto of building/refurbishing new stadiums in urbanized areas because it just isnt profitable anymore, the goal is to attract and keep the affluent STH's, the best way to do that is to build a new stadium near their demographic that is convenient for them. Just look at what the Braves did recently.

 

Jacksonville is very quickly nearing that end.

 

You are wrong on basically everything you just said.

 

The old stadiums were built without the premium seating. It has nothing to do with the age of the stadium and everything to do with what is in it. The Jaguars stadium was really the first of it's kind. There is a reason the Falcons and Rams stadiums are outdated despite being near the same age.

 

And your attempt to compare baseball to football does not work. You cannot compare 10 home games to 81.

 

And teams don't build stadiums in "urbanized areas"? Nobody told the Falcons or Vikings.
