Ben Carson admits fabricating West Point scholarship
|
Quote:Debunked. Once again the main stream media will do whatever it can to lie and assisinate a candidate on the right. I guarantee you this came from one of the other Republican campaigns. Probably Trump. Also, I'm not sure it's been debunked. He's changed his story to one that cannot be refuted. From an offer of a scholarship to a vague recollection of a conversation where he was told he could get in. The implication of the story in his book was that West Point offered him a scholarship. Now he says someone not associated with West Point told him that if he applied, he could probably get in. It sounds to me like he puffed it up for the book. "I was offered a scholarship" was not exactly what happened. The reason this is important is that his whole campaign is based on his personal life story. From juvenile delinquent to world renowned surgeon. It's all about how far he came in life. Now, the media is starting to investigate his story, and they finding out that he wasn't the juvenile delinquent he claims to have been. He was just a mild mannered studious guy who became a world renowned surgeon. That's not quite as great a story, is it? He won't tell us whom he tried to stab in his stabbing story, and everyone who knew him has said they don't remember any such incident. Isn't it weird, here's a presidential candidate who says he was this horrible juvenile delinquent, the MSM says, we've interviewed everyone we can find, and they all say you were a nice quiet studious guy, and the candidate is really mad that they don't believe him? This is the opposite of how this is supposed to go. The media is supposed to accuse the candidate of having been a horrible person and the candidate is supposed to deny it. Bizarro world we are living in. But the reason he wants people to believe he was this horrible teenager is because the religious right loves stories of redemption. Nice guy becomes great surgeon, well what's so great about that? Juvenile delinquent becomes great surgeon, now there's a book worth writing and a story worth reading. Without that part about how bad he was growing up, he's just another guy who became a surgeon. |
