Yet another Jags are moving to London article...

#73

Quote:Of the three examples you gave the youngest stadium was built in 1984, a full eleven years older. One is a dome, another a semi-dome. Domes are notoriously difficult to upgrade, same goes for the old Giants stadium which was built in a way that made improvements very costly. EverBank is built much like Lambeau Field and its construction makes it very easy to upgrade. The new endzone and video boards make that abundantly clear, there's now way a construction like that would be possible in stadiums like they used to have New york and Dallas.

Intresting point you bring up that I would like to ask.

Structurally, how do you think engineers would be able to construct wider concourses, add more mid range luxury suites, erect a fan terrance mezzanine area inside the stadium?

Quote:Once again we run into message board logic - where you can just make stuff up!

We don't have any idea as to Khan's lust for profit. For many team owners the football club is their hobby. We don't know that Khan doesn't love the idea of living part-time in Florida and wants the challenge of building up the franchise in Jacksonville.

And that laughable number you pulled out of your rear-end re St. Johns Co. - show me the first study that indicates anything of the sort.

Is there a SIMS game in which you get to be an NFL owner?

I think you missed the point of what a message board discussion is all about.

I dont know if you been to any of the fan forums held recently, but Lamping clearly said the team is looking to be more financially competitive (in-line) with other teams around the league (which included raising ticket prices).

A poll was conducted about a year or 2 ago (dont know if its still available on the jags website) of where frequent fans of the team and about 1/2 of the STH's reside and it included the areas I mentioned earlier in this thread. This was also brought up on 1010 earlier this year.

Your last sentence was very immature.

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.
