Geez, man. No one said Bortles is great right now.  We're saying he has potential.  You don't have to be a starry-eyed Jag fan to see that. People around the country are noticing too.

 

He throws a nice deep ball, and that's something we haven't had in Jax since Brunell.  And when you throw the ball deep, you're gonna throw INTs.  It's not excusable.  But it's fixable.

 

Face it, before Bortles, this offense would go three and out, constantly.  Bortles creates long drives. He's doing the right now, at 23 years old, playing in his 22nd game.

 

Yes, yes, yes, he's got a lot of work to do in the offseason. He needs more experience, and the game probably does need to slow down for him a little bit.  But it's hard not to be excited for the future. I'll go on record as stating that the Jags now have their future QB.
