Also... You do realize what you just said... Right? He wasn't used even as a situational player until a few years into his career... Namely when Turner went to the Falcons, and he became the RB 2...

Sorry, but players like Pierce are brought in for depth. Players like Grant aren't brought in to run between the tackles they are brought in because they bring something unique to the roster that the organization hopes to be able to exploit.

 

Funny how someone who was supposedly held back by being buried on the depth chart behind LT made his name playing as a complimentary back along side LT. Obviously it wasn't his position on the depth chart but the inability of the coaching staff to figure out how to create his own role in the offense. I know, pretty heady stuff for you here.

 

Also it is pretty comical that you think Sproles was used as a traditional RB. The play calling was completely different when he was in the backfield. They called plays especially designed for him to get him into space where he could do damage. Sproles ended his career with more receiving yards than rushing. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that doesn't happen with traditional RB playcalling.

 

It's funny watching you try to argue when you don't even have a clue as to how Sproles was used in the first place
