Blake Bortles is non-canon arm Brett Favre

Quote:I hear ya and you make some valid points about Blake carrying the team. All I'm saying is that Blake can be and should be learning from his mistakes. While MM went on the road put up monster numbers kept the turn overs low and lead his team to victory. The kicker he did it with a joke of a interim head coach. I'm getting some confidence in Blake but you have be honest. Sometimes you hold your breath when Blake steps back right? Not yet... I'm honestly giving him a pass for the turn overs so far this year. But yes, if this trend continues on deep into 2016, then there may be things to be concerned about. Honestly, for now, seeing him push things downfield is just such a pleasure to see. I feel like I'm actually watching an NFL offense. It's quite refreshing to see that. The turnovers are frustrating, but to be honest, the only one that made me want to kick my dog was that fumble... And that fumble is indicative of how much BB5 feels the constant pressure that he NEEDS to make a play on every down... I get your point about the turnovers I really do. And I'll be honest, I can't stand Brett Farve. That dude only won 1 SB because he always made a terrible mistake in big games. I don't want BB5 to be anything like Farvre. I want him to be more like Marino, or Elway. But as of right now, I think he lacks support to make the determination as to whether or not he his wise/smart enough to reduce the number of TOs he's producing. If we can get him a little more support, and I'm not talking alot more. Just bring back Linder and get rid of Beadles, and just get a defense that doesn't play prevent D, and I think that's enough support to see whether or not BB5 is capable of reducing the TOs. If I'm right, he will reduce the TOs because he won't feel compelled to make the HUGE play on every single down... |
