Despite the worse pass protection and an inferior supporting cast of playmakers, Mariota is far and away more efficient than Bortles has ever been, and he is only 6 games into his rookie season. He is more accurate (65.5% vs 56.3), more effective (8 YPA vs 7 YPA), and has been overall better (101.5 QB rating vs 83.2).


Mariota as a rookie is doing more with less than what Bortles has in his 2nd season.
