Did u not read my post about the defense not being very good? Reading comprehension,, but oh well.


-Defense never stops anyone when game is on the line? Uh,, you didn't watch the Jets game in the 4th, huh? The Jags offense/special teams turned the ball over 3 times in the last 5 minutes.


-Defense Never scores? Uh,,, you didn't watch the Bills game, huh? The Defense SCORED 2 TDs off turnovers,, and basically scored another TD with a turnover that gave the offense pretty much a "gimme" TD by getting the ball very deep in Bills territory. That's 21 points by the defense. (BTW: the offense gave up a TD by a pick 6 return that game,,, but let's go ahead and blame the defense for that one too.)


- The Defense held Carolina to 13 points (it went to 20 points because of an offense pick 6 return,, but we'll go ahead and blame the defense).


- The Defense held the Colts to 13 points (granted,, the colts only TD drive was afforded by terrible defensive penalties). But,, 13 points man,, 13. The offense couldn't do much of anything that day.


-The Defense played a great 2nd half against Miami,, especially late in the game. Oh guess what,, the offense didn't turn the ball over for pick 6's,, and guess what, they won the game.



Look,,, I think Bortles is good. And I think he's going to be VERY good and be around here for a long time.


But,, he still has alot of improvement to do. The team is losing because of mistakes from ALL 4 PHASES OF THE TEAM (Defense /Offense/Special Teams/Coaching). That INCLUDES Bortles making bad mistakes,, because yes,, he does still make bad mistakes.


Let me ask you something:

You keep spouting given up PPG is getting worse (it's true). But,, don't you think one big reason it's getting worse is because Bortles has given up many pick 6's, Fumbles have been returned for TDs, and other turnovers have given opponents VERY short fields??


4 games this year,, the offense has given up a TD. Nothing to do with the Defense there guy.
