Just rewatched the Jets game

Random question about onside kicks. Why don't they ever try to kick it over the heads (like 15-20 yards) of the opposing ST between them and the returner and put all of your speed guys on the field to chase it? Seems like the probability of a recovery would be better in my opinion.
