From looking at those stats one thing is clear.. Blake is a deep throwing gun slinger like Brett Favre was.. while Blake can run as good as Mark Brunnell... Blake has a cannon arm give him time to throw (better Oline protection) and he will be lethal...
 

 

Here's another comparison to consider. Big Ben, whose game and presence appear somewhat similar to Bortles, took the league by storm early on. Eventually, however, teams gathered up tape on Ben and started to figure out how to play him. The following stats for his third season in the NFL...

Bortles is on pace for a much better second season than Big Ben's third season. I like to think that Bortles is the league's next Roethlisberger, and seeing stuff like this makes me think that's not too much ask for.
