If Bortles' worst day consists of 2 TDs and 1 INT (with a win, mind you), the QB is the LEAST of our worries.

 

Never mind the fact that he's ONLY in his second year.

 

Sure, he has made bad mistakes but he has also made incredible plays on a regular basis - most of which you don't really cite (like extending plays with his legs and throwing on the run). 

 

Don't get me wrong, he needs to get better and shore up the couple mistakes that he makes but let me remind you again, he is in his second year.

 

I will take him and our young offense any day. 

If you took that phrase previously quoted and added a Tebow/Vince Young but hes a  'winner' reference, it would fit. 2/1 with less than 50% completion and a win sounds like a Tebow special to me. Can win long term like that.

 

I agree the future is looking good. But hes got to play better than he has this year. He needs to get that completion percentage up to at least 60% if we are gonna be real contenders. I love Bortles, he is so much better than anything we have had the last few years. But he needs more work. We shouldn't have needed so much luck to win a game in which we got 4 TO and the other team only got 1. Thats my point.
