Quote:Carnivale is still one of my favorite TV series. It was originally slated for a 6 year run over an in-story time frame of about 15 years. It was one of the first series' HBO was trying after the Sopranos. The story goes that after the strong premiere (ratings-wise) the powers that be at HBO told Daniel Knauf they were expecting better ratings than the Sopranos. He said he knew those were totally screwed by unrealistic expectations. Actually Carnivale was ahead of it's time. It's complex plot would be right at home alongside shows like Game of Thrones and The Leftovers.I need to check this out. Thanks! |
