Why didn't TC win the division from 2000-2002?

If I remember correctly those 2000-2002 years were met with injuries, contract disputes, salary cap hell and not to mention after 99 it was down hill. I think a weaker coach would've folded easier. But we were so stacked that other teams were coming for us with their A game. Plus the emergence of Peyton and Marvin Harrison was just starting. Sure some excuses here but I'm not gonna fault tom for all of it. They took a hay maker shot to win a title. It didn't happen but they tried and that's a hell of a lot more than some people ever try.



As for the current team I do believe the talent is there to have won 2 more games at least. The team is undisciplined and has yet to mold a dominant identity. So far the offense is known to air it out. But that doesn't win games on its own like say run the ball stop the run for example. We do not have a plan for each game it would appear. These guys seem to play it by ear every game. They let the opponent dictate wether we will be in the game or not offensively or defensively. It's quite frustrating. The right coaching would make a world of difference.
