No it doesn't spit in the face of freedom of religion to want to take "Under God" out of the Pledge of Allegiance.  It wasn't added to the pledge until 1954, and some think that students shouldn't have to say the Pledge at all (which I agree with).  Why should students have to say the words "under god"?  (or pledge allegiance at all for that matter.  Some think it's kind of socialist *coughericcough*)


Firing a coach who prays is censorship.  Firing or suspending a coach who leads a prayer when other groups aren't allowed to do the same isn't censorship.  A lot of places self-censor to avoid other groups from putting their own stuff up/doing their own prayers (particulary TST)
